This is a scary tale! An earlier reviewer said it reminds us of the latest terror attack in California and he is right. In fact the man in California had the same name"Syed" as one of the main ISIS characters in this novel. I would think that ISIL or ISIS would attack our homeland using the same methods as depicted in this book. Using a group of 6-8 men they go about knocking off 7 of the 10 CIA contol centers in the USA - all at the very same time! This event energizes the collective US forces of CIA, FBI, Joint Chiefs of Staff and numerous local authorities. The author gives excellent methods for destroying the enemy and in the end, they work to perfection. I was fasinated by the use of the drones (Predetors and Reapers) that zoom in on a persons face from 40,000 feet and smack them with a missle. Sasha and her husband Tom have a long history of CIA assasin work and she is a very tough lady. However in this episode, she is paired more with Henry, another assasin who really becomes a major character himself. He possesses the same quick wit and intelligence as Tom and Sasha. This is an excellent read and I highly recommend it.Product details

A fast-paced and timely thriller about stopping ISIS from exacting its terror in the US that will give you the chills based on current events. The characters are finely-crafted and the action sizzles. Great tech elements in cyber, surveillance and armaments elements. Fiction, but a plausible roadmap for defeating ISIS for the real-world.
A thought-provoking thriller with complex characters that balance a fast-paced action story of ISIS bringing its terror to the U.S. I hadn't read the previous books in the series and didn't feel I was at a loss, as the characters are brought to life with ample back stories and lots of internal monologue. There are some truly chilling scenes that will make you think hard about today's events, but they are done without unduly graphic violence that might turn you off. An excellent read and well worth the time spent.
The last, and I hope not final, Sasha book. She is my type of agent, female, fast and deadly and not afraid to just go for it.
What I love about this writing is the reality. And it is scary enough. Lender gives a good portrayal of what we don't usually see.
This is a somewhat frightening action thriller about ISIS coming to the West; specifically the US in this case. It's clear he did his research, not just into ISIS, but into the technology used by our intelligence services and armed forces drones, computer hacking capability, missiles and intelligence methods and protocols. Those elements alone are worth the read, as they fold into the considerable action in a realistic way. It's also not simply a pure thriller; it has some romance and sensitive relationships between the secondary characters.
A gripping thriller about ISIS bringing its terror to the West. It is especially scary and prescient given the recent attacks in Paris, which probably weren't even in ISIS's plans when this novel was started. Sasha Del Mira is a lethal heroine, but she's also got heart and soul, as brought out in her interactions with a supporting cast of characters, including Henry, an OCD CIA assassin. Even Omar, the villain, gets across his humanity in explaining his commitment to his misguided course in life through his back story. Great book.
So glad to have run across this 4th installment of the Sasha series. I have read the first three, 3 or 4 times each and recommended it to everyone. Hopefully there will be more now that Tom and Sasha can do their jobs with the help of Henry and his mother. They both have the potential to be really interesting characters. Maybe I'll just have to start from the very beginning AGAIN.
