***About the Author***
Jacqueline has had a colourful and dual life thus far; she's lived in a refugee camp in Sweden, a castle in France, a village in Germany, and spent her formative years in between Los Angeles, London and New York. As a result, she speaks four languages. Jacqueline has a Bachelors in English Literature from the University Of Massachusetts, and a Masters in Screenwriting from Royal Holloway, University Of London. After graduating she wrote her first novel and began writing cartoon screenplays. The two years she spent in an arts boarding school in the woods have inspired the particular world described in her debut novel Wunderkids. She lives in London with her husband, her excessive YA collection and a hyper husky named Laika.
Wunderkids has been translated into a number of languages and featured in Vogue magazine!

I have to say, I wasn't expecting much, since it's the first book published by the author, but I was very pleasantly surprised. If I had to describe it, I'd say imagine Hunger Games characters go to Hogwarts. Magic, mystery, action, love triangles all mixed in a school setting.A popular theme in YA, but the author manages to make it thrilling throughout the book, making you want more. (Also, OMG, that cliff hanger in the end!!!). All in all - great read, will definitely get Part 2.

Fantastic young adult novel that is captivating throughout. Definitely looking forward to the next book in the series excitedly!
best book I have read in a long time, it is an exciting throughout, I got involved with the characters. The ending was unexpected and I can't wait for the second book to come out.
I’m eagerly awaiting the next book in this series.
The author managed to take me by surprise and I didn't see the ending coming at all ( a rare occurrences for me with YA) I can't recommend this book enough.
I really connected with some of the characters, like Sims and Amber, and especially Quinn. (team Quinn forever and ever)
I cannot wait for part 2!
Great read. Stumbled upon this on my and looking forward to reading part two. Would recommend this to Fantasy and Sci-readers and obviously fans of Young Adult. I thought the "special twist" was really unique and I was not expecting it in the least. Read it if you like dystopian teen fiction, or if you like boarding school novels (that's why I initially picked it up)
This is a captivating new YA book. Just when fifteen year old Nikka's mom is struggling financially, Nikka is accepted into a prestigious boarding school that she has never heard of. She is an artist, but the school also includes musicians, math whizzes and other talented teens. Nikka makes friends with several students and they realize that there are things about the boarding school that are not right. Can they solve the mystery and survive? This is the first book in a series and I look forward to the next book.

Author Jacqueline Silvester cleverly manages an intricate plot, convincingly presents the conflicts of adolescence, and delivers wonderful scenarios of teenage friendship and betrayal. The dialogue is sharp and engaging, often very funny, just like the kids themselves. I was carried along, enchanted by the story and the characters. Silvester has produced a real gift - presenting us with a smart, strong willed heroine, willing to defy threats and her own fears to save her friends. Read this book! You won't be sorry.
